Treebark Vase
₹3,300.00
The Treebark Vase is a hand-built ceramic piece inspired by the spontaneous textures of nature. Created by rolling clay slabs into cylindrical forms with little interference, each vase reveals organic folds and surface shifts. A deep green glaze mimics moss and tree bark, emphasising the rough, earthy finish. High-fired for strength, these one-of-a-kind vases are meant for dry arrangements. No two are alike: choose from three unique forms.
The Thought Behind It
Each Treebark Vase is a quiet meditation on texture, form, and function. These hand-built vases begin as simple clay slabs, rolled into organic cylinders with minimal manipulation. The artist allows the clay to behave instinctively, capturing folds, creases, and shifts as they emerge – much like how bark grows on a tree. A deep mossy glaze adds richness and depth, settling into every groove to create surfaces that feel unearthed rather than made.
The inspiration is drawn from forest textures – moss-covered bark, damp roots, fallen logs – blending object and origin. These pieces are made only for dry arrangements, allowing branches, twigs, or dried flowers to echo their woodland source. Each vase is high-fired stoneware, durable yet expressive, and offered as a one-of-a-kind piece. What you see is exactly what will be delivered.
Choose from Treebark Vase I, II, or III – each with its own distinct form and personality, yet bound by a shared aesthetic and making process.
