Cinderwake Planter

4,499.00

Rugged and elemental, the Cinderwake Planter is shaped by hand and fire. With its raw textures and black-green glaze, it carries the drama of scorched earth and the quiet of something newly formed. Each piece is high-fired in a gas kiln at 2020 C, allowing the glaze to flow unpredictably, leaving behind trace patterns of moss, stone, and molten ash. Made from durable stoneware with drainage holes, it’s as functional as it is sculptural. Let it house your slow-growing greens or simply stand alone as a conversation piece steeped in texture and tactility.

The Thought Behind It

There are pieces that mimic nature, and then there are those born from its raw forces. The Cinderwake Planter is a study of opposite forces –  between fire and earth, polish and irregularity, control and chance. Handcrafted in stoneware and gas-fired at 2020 C, this planter emerges with a volcanic finish: dark, cracked textures kissed with greenish copper highlights, echoing moss on scorched rock. The glaze behaves unpredictably in the kiln, making each planter a one-of-a-kind landscape of texture and tone.

Designed with three discreet drainage holes and a broad, low profile, it is ideal for succulents, ferns, or shallow-rooted indoor plants. The base remains unglazed, allowing the planter to sit rooted and stable wherever it rests.

Whether placed in a sunlit nook, on a concrete ledge, or next to a linen-draped table, Cinderwake invites quiet observation. A celebration of slow craft and geological beauty, it holds more than plants — it holds stories of fire, earth, and time.
